Benjamin Spencer. Former Engineering student turned Accessory Designer. I am twenty-three years young and currently in my senior year pursuing a B.F.A. in Accessory Design at Savannah College of Art and Design.
Growing up in a small farm town in Missouri, I always saw fashion as more of a hobby rather than a realistic future. That was until two years ago when I realized that fashion was more of my passion than engineering. During the ideation stage, I use many of the skills that I learned from engineering which allows me to bring a fresh take into the world of luxury. While designing, I aspire to create “Future Lux.” This means creating classic, but fresh silhouettes, with a focus on functionality for the modern consumer, while also focusing on sustainability for a “greener” planet.
I will always be a student of design, wanting and willing to learn more each and every day.
